Celebrate 30 years of musical connection as Berklee College of Music alumni reunite for a special night of world jazz at The Black Box, Arlington (869 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA). On Thursday, April 10th, experience the dynamic collaboration of renowned musicians, both past and present, in this intimate new venue. The show starts at 7:00 PM.

Headlining the evening is Croatian guitar virtuoso Elvis Stanić, a Berklee alumnus returning to Boston after three decades. Stanić, a celebrated figure in European jazz, is known for his innovative fusion of jazz, rock, and his native Croatian musical traditions.

Joining Stanić are his former classmates and current Berklee College of Music faculty member, Sergio Bellotti on drums, and award-winning band director Tino D'Agostino on bass. Bellotti and D'Agostino also co-lead the acclaimed band Spajazzy, known for its unique blend of jazz with an Italian flair and featuring two albums with guitar legend Mike Stern. Together, they will deliver a captivating performance showcasing their exceptional musicianship and shared musical history.  

 

This reunion promises to be a memorable night of world-class jazz, bringing together the rich musical legacy of Berklee College of Music in the vibrant atmosphere of The Black Box.

About Elvis Stanić:

Elvis Stanić, a celebrated guitarist and composer, returns to Boston for this special reunion. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, he is widely regarded as Croatia's foremost jazz fusion artist, known for his unique blend of Mediterranean fluidity, Latin rhythms, and contemporary jazz. His critically acclaimed work has been praised for its "diversity of ideas" and "stylistically purified" sound (Berklee College of Music, Večernji list). Stanić has performed at prestigious festivals worldwide, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and Lincoln Center, and collaborated with jazz legends such as Buster Williams and Lenny White. His return to Berklee promises a night of exceptional musicianship and cross-cultural musical fusion.

About Sergio Bellotti:

Sergio Bellotti is a respected drummer and faculty member at Berklee College of Music. He has performed and recorded with a wide range of renowned artists, including Bob James, Robben Ford, Nathan East, Tom Scott, Rocco Ventrella, and Vince Tempera. He also co-leads the band Spajazzy, known for its unique blend of jazz with an Italian flair and featuring two albums with guitar legend Mike Stern. He is known for his versatile and dynamic playing style.  

About Tino D'Agostino:

Tino D'Agostino is an award-winning band director and accomplished bassist. He has performed with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli and recently served as a featured conductor at Carnegie Hall. He also co-leads the band Spajazzy, known for its unique blend of jazz with an Italian flair and featuring two albums with guitar legend Mike Stern. He has a long and distinguished career in music education and performance, and is known for his solid groove and musical sensitivity.
